How we operate
Photograph by Heather Craven
We have been operating from St Ives Equestrian Centre since 2005. The estate provides a stunning backdrop for our lessons in either the indoor or outdoor school or on short hacks.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers with a range of riding and teaching expertise, two qualified RDA instructors, experienced groom and access to a specialist physiotherapist.
We offer riding lessons from ages 4 to 70 plus for either experienced or non experienced riders. We also provide training in stable management. Both these provisions are offered to individuals or in a group setting. Some of our riders go on to take part in regional and national competitions.
We also offer volunteering opportunities. We provide all your training in either a group setting or on a 1-2-1 basis, no previous experience required.
We rely on fundraising activities to enable us to care for our horses and be self-financing. We run a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year. Our biggest event is a trail race which is held in June and takes place around St Ives Estate with runners from across the district taking part.
